Iris Kelly is having a whirlwind of a date

Everyone around Iris Kelly is in love. Her best friends are paired off, her siblings have perfect partners, and her parents are still enjoying marital bliss. And she’s happy for them, really. So what if she usually cries on the Lyft ride home? So what if she misses her friends, who are so busy with their amazing love lives they don't even notice Iris is spiralling? At least she has her brand-new career as a romance writer (yes, she sees the irony). She’s working on her second book, but there's a problem: she’s completely out of ideas, having poured all her romantic energy into her debut. As usual, Iris ignores her problems with zero guilt and heads to a bar in Portland, where she meets a sexy stranger named Stefania. But a night of dancing and banter turns into the worst one-night stand of her life (unfortunately involving vomit and tears). To get her mind off everything and overcome her writer's block, Iris tries out community theatre, only to come face-to-face with Stefania—or Stevie, as she’s actually called. When a desperate Stevie asks her to pretend to be her girlfriend, Iris is shocked but agrees. A fake relationship could be just what she needs to get her creative juices flowing and finally write her book. But as they play the part of a couple in love, their relationship gets so hot that the only question left is which one of them will make the first real move…
