Irish Dew: Chance - CD

On their new album “Šance” (named after the Celtic oppidum in Zbraslav), the band IRISH DEW hasn't just stayed on the “isles”, even though this remains the fundamental source of their repertoire and musical atmosphere.

However, many unusual overlaps appear here in the spirit of the current world music trend—a brass quartet and the Wallachian singer František Segrado took part in the studio sessions. A particular highlight was the performance of Lamin Kouyaté, a Senegalese singer and player of the African instrument, the kora. The result is a project comparable in the Czech context perhaps only to the work of Jiří Pavlica and his studio and stage fusions with musicians from all over the world.

A number of well-known musicians decided to support this idea by participating in the recording—singers Robert Křesťan, Lenka Filipová, and Zuzana Stivínová, and instrumentalists Luboš Malina (Druhá tráva), Jiří Veselý (ETC, Bratři Ebenové, Dobrohošť), Radek Klučka (ex-Čechomor), the African Wally Touré, and many others.
