IS/ICT application services in the form of ASP

The economic recession and the bursting of the so-called. The Internet bubble led many managers at the turn of the millennium to rethink their investments in information systems and information and communications technology (IS/ICT) so that IS/ICT was sized to the needs of manufacturing and business and aligned with business processes. The authors from the Department of Information Technology at the University of Economics in Prague provide a multidimensional view of the rental of IS/ICT application services (Application Services Providing - ASP). ASP is a form of outsourcing. It delegates most of the problems associated with creating and running applications to a specialized entity. The company does not purchase technology, but IT services.
