J. W. Goethe: Everybody has a fault

The merry play Everyone Has His Fault belongs to the earliest period of Goethe's literary output. An unfaithful wife, a thieving husband, a suspicious and curious innkeeper - each of them has something to hide. And they're all heading to Alceste's guest room at night? The radio production was made by Miloslav Jareš in 1969 with actors Vladimír Šmeral, Miroslav Doležal, Viola Zinková, Bořivoj Navrátil and Vladimír Čech. The comedy was created under the strong influence of Moli? ra and Goldoni and especially the so-called "Saxon comedy", which dominated the German stage at that time. It is Goethe's last work written in the Rococo style and here too the personal experience of the author is undoubtedly elaborated, who seems to appear here in the character of Alceste.
