How we remember normalisation

Historical memory is nowadays one of the most frequent concepts. The media and politicians use it as a matter of course. Is the school supposed to be a mouthpiece for "politically correct memory"? What kind of memory is it supposed to reproduce? Does it even have any reproduction? What should be its position in the increasingly intense culture wars? The book tries to answer these and many other questions. Or at least put them down. In it, the reader will find a selection of contemporary approaches to memory studies and their application to constructivist-oriented history teaching. The main focus is on feature films about the so-called. normalization, resp. their audience reception. The author analysed thousands of comments on csfd.cz and tried to formulate what collective memory looks like in the digital age and what it implies for school education.
