James Etta: The MontreuxYears (2x LP) - LP

The album "The Montreux Years" captures a cross-section of her performances at the famous jazz festival in Montreux, Switzerland in 1977, 1978, 1989 1990 and 1993. The CD version is accompanied by a second disc which captures a unique moment in music history, as it is a recording of Etta James' first performance on European soil, again at the famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland, on 11 July 1975.

Etta James, by her own name, Jamesetta Hawkins, was an American soul/R&B singer, whose contralto was one of the main ornaments of the famous Chess label from 1960 until 1976. The life of a music star brought her fame, including induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and drug addiction. In 2008, the movie "Cadillac Records" was made about her, where her role was played by the famous Beyoncé.
