Jananas: Jananas - CD

The debut album by the band Jananas offers strong melodies, unconventional arrangements and, above all, distinctive Czech lyrics.

There is no doubt that the trio Jananas shatters all folk stereotypes and brings contemporary elements to the stagnant waters of Czech folk music. They certainly don't offer something that has been heard a hundred times before. In short, they are a band you won't mistake for anyone else, and that counts for a lot these days.

The album was recorded from March to November 2010 at Reprague studio under the supervision of producer Martin Ledvina (Aneta Langerová, Lenka Dusilová, Marek Ztracený, Tomáš Klus). The original trio line-up (vocals-guitar-bass guitar) was expanded on the album by Jananas to include other instruments, including drums and percussion.
