Janatková Milli: Hluboko - CD

Milli Janatková' s concept album from the Hluboko project thematically follows up on her successful album My Roots, which won The Independent Music Awards - Vox Populi in New York, and a nomination for the prestigious Classic Prague Awards in the Crossover category.

The author embarks on an adventurous journey into the depths of time and seeks the essence of our culture and the valuable message of ancestors. The selection of songs on her new album corresponds to our oldest surviving musical monuments. Instructed by many musical genres (including a musically intensive visit to India) and surrounded by a variety of instruments and colours, she delves into the depths of each song, reveals unsuspected meanings with new arrangements and offers her own vision of the world.

Contemporary, but firmly rooted in the depths to which these Old Czech or Latin texts refer. Perhaps new songs can be a bridge between history and the present, spiritual and secular life, between cultures and religions. They sing about the goodness and abundance that are given to us. They are a modern prayer for fertility and peace in our world, they sing about the meaning of being and receiving transience. Above all, it tells of the Truth, which walks sadly around the world for many centuries and is still not even worth it.

They are a plea to the patron saint of the Czech lands for comfort and protection. On her new album, which she recorded and artistically processed, Milli Janatková takes us on a trip deep into a time when words like truth, joy or grace were not tainted by a speck of clichés.
