Janek Jaryn: Those People - CD

Jaryn Janek has been on the music scene for many years and his first significant successes are linked to the band Eleison. He also played in the bands The Gizd Q, Krucipüsk and Benedik, and we can also see him in the experimental Medu, the folk-jazz Seven Days, Eturnity, Lada, Al Yaman, and in the bands of Iva Marešová, Kamil Střihavka and Václav Noid Bárta. He also worked as a sideman in the all-star band B.S.P. and in České Srdce.

In essence, the album Ty lidi (Those People) is an attempt to create a space for people from different musical and non-musical worlds to meet, and at the same time a challenge to restore the true meaning of this phrase. On his solo debut, bassist Jaryn Janek lets several female voices ring out in his original compositions, naturally connecting to the male element that fulfils the role of an earthy foundation here.
