Janů Petra: Největší hity (2x CD) - CD
Rockerka, a singer of the middle stream, but also Oscar-winning melodies and classical songs by George Gershwinna, a representative of roles in musicals. Few Czech singers are as versatile as Petra Janů. It shook its official Czech music scene with its rock beginnings in the 1970s, and although it did not appear much on the television screen and in radio broadcasts, it tore down halls. In the 80' s, she non-violently turned into an excellent representative of the so-called pop for adults and became one of the most popular Czech singers. She was the Golden Nightingale three times and her recordings sold almost two million media.
2CD “I am, I am what I am“ for the first time maps in detail the magnificent singing career of the singer. While on the first disc Petra Janů is a rocker (this period is documented by excerpts from the albums Motorest, Exploduj and Jámy, but also duets with Petr Janda from the albums Let' s Go on and Going On II and the as yet unreleased song by Michael Kocáb Dávání brát a žít), the second disc dominates Petra Janů as the queen of pop with her unforgettable hits (e. g. My little premiere, I' m not free anymore, Tell me, With love, the world has hope, And then it' s a sin).
Petra Janů' s new supraphonic 2CD brings a brand new recording as a bonus. Petra found the song “I am What I am“ with Michael Prostějovský' s autobiographical Czech lyrics in the musical Cage of Fools and in the disco repertoire of Queen Gloria Gaynor.
