Jaws - DVD
Sandy beaches, a blue sea, and a brilliant sky welcome visitors to the resort town of Amity. No one suspects that a great white shark is lurking somewhere beneath the surface. It soon finds its first victim, then another, and another. The town's officials initially try to cover everything up, but eventually, they find themselves anxiously waiting for someone to appear who can kill the enormous shark. Three men set out to sea to try their luck: ichthyologist Hooper, shark hunter Quint, and local police chief Brody.
This famous, now legendary film about hunting a dangerous shark – based on the book by Peter Benchley – was directed by Steven Spielberg, for whom it brought worldwide fame. The film won three Oscars: for music (John Williams), editing (Verna Fields), and sound (John R. Carter, Roger Heman Jr., Robert L. Hoyt, Earl Mabery).
