Jethro Tull: Stand Up (Steven Wilson Remix) - CD

The band released their second studio album in 1969. Shortly before its recording, guitarist Mick Abrahams left the band, having had a disagreement with bandleader Ian Anderson over the direction of Jethro Tull. He was replaced by Martin Barr. Stand Up is the first album by the band to be fully under the compositional control of Ian Anderson. The re-release offers new mixes of the recordings, traditionally by Steven Wilson. It is available on CD and LP. In addition, the CD version is expanded with several originally unreleased songs. The tracks are Living In Past, Driving Song and Bourée.

Famous British rock band, whose central figure is the singer, guitarist and flute player Ian Anderson, was founded in 1967. Jethro Tull originally devoted themselves to experimental blues rock, Later their music absorbed elements of classical music, folk, jazz and hard rock. They topped the UK charts in 1969 with Stand Up, but it was 1971's Aqualung that brought them undying fame.
