The Jewess is an evocative, emotional story about dreams, religion and love
Sofia Manishevich is the daughter of a Jewish woman taken by the Nazis to Auschwitz during World War II. He spent his childhood and youth in Czechoslovakia, in a family where Jewish holidays and customs were observed.
Under the influence of society, but also of her family, who urge her to marry only a Jew, Sofia decides to run away. She wants to be a free Jewish woman and hopes to meet her destined love in her dream America.
Will she succeed? Will Sofia have wealth, love, fame, faith or will she lose the most important thing - her family and loved ones?
The Jewess is suggestive, an emotional story about dreams, religion, love, communist Czechoslovakia, free Jewish America, about the loss, tireless struggle, the search for the essence, the bitterness of life, about happiness and the fickleness of fate.
