John Lennon: Imagine DLX

LP Record Imagine is John Lennon's second solo album and also his most popular project. The album was recorded and released in 1971. The songs on the album have a softer tone and are less avant-garde than those on his previous album, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. According to Lennon's own statements, his aim when creating the album was to coat his ideas in a layer of chocolate to make them more appealing to a wider audience. The core of the album was recorded at Lennon's home studio (Ascot Sound Studios in Tittenhurst Park), with some additional parts recorded at the Record Plant studio in New York. The album was co-produced by Phil Spector, John Lennon, and Yoko Ono.
