Jones Norah: Begin Again (2019) - LP

Popular singer-songwriter and pianist Norah Jones is releasing the album Begin Again on 12th April this year. It features seven tracks that Jones recorded last year in collaboration with Jeff Tweedy and Thomas Bartlett. The album will be available on vinyl, CD, and in digital format. The lead single is the song Just a Little Bit, on which Jones accompanies the piano with organ, drums, bass, trumpet, and tenor saxophone.

Last year, after the release of her album Day Breaks (2016) and the subsequent tour, Jones returned to the studio. Guided by her muses, she aimed to create an album free from expectations or predefined categories. Embracing the joy, openness, and spontaneity of music-making, Jones teamed up with her friends for experimental, impromptu jam sessions. "I felt really inspired and wanted to try different things. I wanted to do it quickly, have fun, keep it simple, and without any pressure. Everything happened in the moment; the songs came from nothing and each took a different direction. Just three days in the studio and the album was done," says Jones, describing the recording process. The final record flirts with electronic experiments, acoustic folk ballads, and soulful tracks accompanied by the organ. Begin Again captures seven snapshots of creativity.
