Josef Kainar: Poor Nasredin

Josef Kainar wrote this fairytale story based on oriental motifs in 1959. He set it in an exotic environment, but it wouldn't be Kainar, author of a distinctly satirical and political mindset, not to endow the main character of the bagman Nasredin with traits and characteristics, that were known and admired in the mythical Orient, just like today. In the title role of Nasredin we hear the excellent Vlastimil Brodsky.
