Joy Division: Transmission

LP Record Alongside the LP release of "Closer", the non-album singles Transmission, Atmosphere and Love Will Tear Us Apart will be released on the same day, featuring remastered audio from 2020. These singles haven't been re-pressed or reissued since Factory Records closed, and are now being released on 180-gram vinyl with the original artwork on sturdy, heavyweight card. The Transmission sleeve features embossed lettering. Formed in Manchester as Stiff Kittens in 1976, the band featuring Ian Curtis (guitar, vocals), Bernard Sumner (keyboards), Peter Hook (bass) and Stephen Morris (drums) became Warsaw before settling on their final name, Joy Division, in 1978. Their career was tragically cut short by the suicide of singer Ian Curtis on 18 May 1980.
