Kant's practical metaphysics

The theme of the book is a synthesizing interpretation of Kant's idea of practical metaphysics, which can also be thought of as the idea of a metaphysics of good will. This idea is developed especially in Kant's Critique of Practical Reason, but also to some extent in other texts devoted to theoretical and practical philosophy. Although the phrase "metaphysics of the good will" or "practical metaphysics" does not appear in any of these writings, they express an idea that Kant devotes considerable effort to elaborating and that is worth striving to understand adequately. It can be summed up in the statement that if such a thing as metaphysics is to be possible, then only in relation to a reflective, responsibly conceived practice.
