Karásek Svatya & guests: 1.1.1990 (2x CD) - CD

The double album is released on the 20th anniversary of the recording. On New Year's Day 1990, the editors of the magazine Vokno organized the first concert of Svatopluk Karásek after his return from exile. Karásek invited several guests - Jaroslav Hutka, Iva Vodrážková, Zbyněk Benýšek, Jim Čert and Miroslav Skalický, the protagonist of The Hever and Vazelína Band. The whole evening was conducted by Ivan Martin Jirous. A recording of the performance was released on cassette by Vokno in cooperation with Black Point on 5 January 1990. For the current 2CD release, the original recordings have been lightly cleaned up and the original 90 minutes have been supplemented with an additional 40 minutes of previously unreleased material. The booklet contains a photo from the event and an extensive interview with Karásek, which František Stárek Čuňas recorded for Vokno on 3 January 1990. The title gives an interesting account of a time full of hope, remarkable opinions and an optimistic atmosphere that cannot be overlooked.
