Kelarová Ida & Romano Rat: Staré slzy - CD

After listening to the new album by singer and pianist Ida Kelarová, you will understand that even sadness can be beautiful. When you feel sad, don't run away from it, but experience its power and depth.

Emotion, sadness, love, and faith are layered throughout. Unlike Věra Bílá, a typical representative of Rom-pop, our best interpreter of Romani songs—possessing a strong, emotive, compelling, dark, deep, and velvety voice—can be categorised as Rom-jazz.

And it's a truly amazing experience to hear how wonderfully jazz and Romani musicianship come together. Ida Kelarová has become world-famous for her unique courses and workshops with a specific method of teaching singing, which have been attended by more than 40,000 people, including the publisher of the famous book of records, Jonathan Guinness, and Chris Jagger. However, her ancestral musicality is most evident in the songs and music of Romano Rat.
