King Buffalo: Regenerator Ltd Clr

LP Record Out Of The Dark Strictly speaking, "Regenerator" is being released very late. After all, King Buffalo had already announced their entire pandemic trilogy, consisting of the albums "The Burden Of Restlessness", "Acheron", and "Regenerator", for 2021. But let's not be too harsh, as both of the Rochester trio's albums were among the absolute rock highlights of last year. King Buffalo describe their style as heavy psych, which captures their sound very well. The often overly long tracks are characterised by sprawling soundscapes and slowly building melodies and structures. Repetition to the point of trance, followed by maximum distortion in a crescendo.
