It is said that in pre-Christian times, this mountain was a ceremonial mountain for the Slavs settled in the northern Beskydy foothills. A circular rampart has been preserved at the top – probably a ceremonial site. The song Hodovnice represents a more traditional instrumental line-up – jew's harp, dulcimer, drum, violin, and flute, and it is sung by children – just as it originally used to be.
