The metalheads from Bakersfield, California, are among the most respected and popular bands in hard rock. They are often described as pioneers of nu-metal, a style that combines metal with elements of other musical styles, such as hip hop, electronica, grunge, and even folk. Korn formed in 1993, debuting a year later with their self-titled album. The group achieved mass popularity in the late nineties with the albums Follow The Leader (1998) and Issues (1999). Both records topped the album charts in America. Korn's successful run continued through the next decade, which offered the albums Untouchables (2002), Take A Look In The Mirror (2003), and See You On The Other Side (2005). Korn have sold more than 35 million records and won numerous awards.
