Blood of Titans
This brilliant fantasy detective story pits the eccentric investigator Ana Dolabra against a seemingly omniscient adversary…
In the city of Folidol, on the very edge of the Empire, an official from the Banking Administration has vanished. He literally disappeared from a room at the top of a heavily guarded tower with its doors and windows locked from the inside. The Empire turns to its most brilliant and eccentric investigator, the renowned Ana Dolabra, to solve the case. As always, she is accompanied by her assistant, Dinios Kol, who marvels at both her ingenuity and her bluntness.
Ana soon discovers that she is not investigating a disappearance, but a murder—committed by an exceptionally cunning adversary who can pass through secure doors like a ghost. To make matters worse, the killer appears to be planning a strike on the heavily guarded complex known as the Shroud, where the Empire drains miraculous blood from fallen titans. If the Shroud falls, the Empire will lose the magic that keeps it running, and may very well collapse.
Din has witnessed his superior solve seemingly impossible cases many times before. But as the body count rises, the enemy anticipates her every move with incredible foresight… and a fear begins to grow in Din that, for the first time, Ana has met an adversary she cannot outsmart.
