Audiobook by Radkin Honzak Crisis in Life, Life in Crisis
One of the popular definitions of life is that it is a succession of continuously consecutive major or minor mishaps. The smaller ones are solved with a wave of the hand, the bigger ones are called worries and the really big ones are called crises. In drama, a crisis marks a turning point, when the hitherto calmly flowing plot suddenly takes a turn.
It's similar in life. Moreover, resources, experience and time are usually lacking.
Some crises are unavoidable and even predictable (adolescence, middle age), but most of them catch us unexpectedly, although we can see from a later perspective that our lives were heading towards them. Some could even have been prevented if we had noticed the warning signs early and acted in time.
All this is the subject of a publication by the authors Radkin Honzák and Vladimíra Novotná, who have extensive experience with crises and their consequences both in clinical and counselling practice. The text describes step-by-step the anatomy of a crisis, the ways of dealing with it in the different phases and the most common types of life upheavals. Examples of societal crises are also given to help navigate uncertain times. The book is a guide for everyday use as well as a guide for those of us in helping or helping professions. Finally, it can also be useful for those who want to help but do not have enough experience.
