Kryl, Karel: Live! (2x CD) - CD

Music that became a symbol of 1989.

Karel Kryl on stage!
Marlene Kryl has prepared a 2CD combination of concert recordings from 1990 and 1991.

In January 1990, Prague's Lucerna Hall witnessed Kryl's return in full force, with all the unfeigned optimism of great expectations, the humour of a happy returning pilgrim, melancholy poetry, ironic verse, and above all, wonderfully relaxed and excellent songwriting.

Together with the bonus from the Porta festival in Pilsen, recorded more than a year later, it is an excellent document of the time and the people, singing and breathing with that small man on the big stage, who had the power to address, dazzle, and reward the true listeners of his stories.

It is a collection of forty artefacts in total: songs, poems, and speeches, supplemented in the booklet by a memory from Mirek Kovařík, lyrics, photographs, drawings, and other pieces of Kryl's legacy.
