Marta Kubišová is currently celebrating an important life anniversary, robbed by the Bolsheviks in their human professional dimension of many crucial years. For an exceptional personality and talent, it logically reasserted itself even after 1989, but its probably most intense blend with music and listeners forever was really in the “sixties“.

Kubišová actually managed to release only one comprehensive album in this period documented by this compilation, but her single recordings, collaborations of television shows or as yet unreleased evidence of the magic of that attractively hoarse voice are much more numerous. It was at that time that she met the best composers, lyricists, bandleaders and orchestras, “with extraordinary willingness“ to dedicate song after song and hit after hit.

The set is divided into time or otherwise complete parts: CD1 Waiting Daily (Singly 1963-1967), CD2 Cesta (Singly 1967-1969), CD3 Prayer for Marta (Singly 1968-1970), CD4 Hits by Karel Svoboda and Bohuslav Ondráček, CD5 Film and Christmas Songs + rarities and CD6 album Songs and ballads + bonuses. The set of songs and the text accessory of the box were created with the help of friends, admirers and collectors of Marta Kubišová' s recordings, especially Jiří Svoboda and Tomáš Padevět. That' s why, in addition to the main official repertoire, studio and concert recordings from 1965 to 1968 were released for the first time. The box includes a 24-page booklet offering an interestingly written chronological history of the singer' s repertoire and life and contemporary and current responses.
