Family secrets lead to the discovery of a sadistic killer

The wife of a wealthy plastic surgeon was murdered in Bratislava. Her husband is missing and only two adopted children remain in the luxury villa where the body was discovered. The siblings unanimously say they have neither heard nor seen anything. Captain Marek Wolf takes over the investigation and gradually uncovers family secrets leading to the discovery of a sadistic killer. But when he starts to believe he's on the right track, the case suddenly starts to have more victims...
But Wolf has other problems to deal with in addition to the investigation. Relations at the regional headquarters are at a standstill. This is due to the dismissal of Karol Lupták as director. He feels he's failed as a man, failed as a boss, but he's still a good investigator. And if he has any chance of fixing things, he needs to bounce back from that.
