Kursk - DVD

The true story of the K-141 Kursk, the "unsinkable" pride of the Russian Navy.

August 2000. During a naval exercise, the hull of the nuclear submarine is rocked by powerful explosions, sending it to the bottom of the Barents Sea. A desperate race against time begins – for the men on board and their families. The rescue operation is complicated not only by the Northern Fleet's dilapidated equipment but also by the Russian government's refusal to accept foreign aid. While the Kursk's crew waits to be rescued 108 metres below the sea, their wives on land fight against senseless bureaucracy, desperately trying to find out what is happening to their loved ones.
