Ladies of the bookstore

Joy Blackwood has no idea why her husband, a renowned Parisian art dealer, bequeathed one of his valuable paintings to a stranger, Robyn Tessier, from Ballycove, a small town on the west coast of Ireland. Determined to solve the mystery, she sets out on a journey and discovers that the young woman owns a small, unprofitable bookshop. Shy Robyn is tormented by her unrequited love for the dazzling Kian and desperately needs help in the bookshop. Joy gradually becomes integrated into the small local community, where she finds a new home and herself after her husband's death, but the real reason for her arrival remains a burdensome secret that becomes increasingly difficult to reveal. When she finally finds the courage to reveal who she really is, she leaves everyone around her in utter shock. Can she convince them that she did not enter their lives with malicious intent?
