Landa Daniel: The Rat 1996 - 2018 (2x CD) - CD

One of the most successful Czech musicals, penned by Daniel Landa and based on the novella by Viktor Dyk, has been performed more than a thousand times, not only in the Czech Republic but also in Slovakia and Austria. It premiered in November 1996 at the Ta Fantastika theatre, starring Daniel Landa (The Rat Catcher) and Lucie Bílá (Agnes), with Josef Vojtek (Štěpán), and Jan Apolenář and Vladimír Javorský (both as Fate), among others. A second production was staged by Divadlo Kalich in 2002. This time, Daniel Landa played Fate, and the musical featured new cast members such as Petr Kolář, Petra Janů, Bohouš Josef, and the Tesařík brothers. All productions were directed by Mirjam Landa. Daniel Landa's dirty musical, The Rat Catcher, returned to the Divadlo Kalich stage in September 2017 with a new cast, new set design, and new choreography.
