The fourth volume of František Niedel's popular historical series Hynek Tas of Bor
The year 1422 came and the struggle in Bohemia was gaining in intensity. The Catholics are fighting against the Hussites and the Caliphs against their brethren, each changing sides and creeds as they see fit, and all are sell-outs. In the midst of this chaos stands Hynek Tas of Bor, true to his faith, his convictions, and most importantly, his people. He got his castle Vlkov back and seems to be living the happiest period of his life despite the raging war. At least at first.
In these terrible times, anyone would welcome a man with a wolf's banner over his head standing guard beside him. How will Hynek decide? He accepts the offer of alliance from the proud Oldrich II. of Rožmberk or the then completely blind but still feared Jan Žižka of Trocnov? Is it possible that they will eventually settle for protecting the caravan on the Salt Trail?
