Lapčíková Zuzana: Lullabies - CD

Beautiful folk songs for children at bedtime.

Zuzana Lapčíková is a folklore and folk singer, cimbalom player, folklorist, screenwriter, composer, and music arranger. Her work in the field of experimental folk is significant, where she attempts to fuse Moravian folklore with other styles and genres of popular music.

In 1993, she founded the loose musical group Ad lib Moravia with jazz pianist and composer Emil Viklický and the leader of the Hradišťan folklore ensemble, Jiří Pavlica. She regularly performs with Emil Viklický and his jazz trio both at home and abroad. She has also recorded several CDs with him in the Czech Republic and internationally. This is a very interesting musical experiment that combines the sound of a classic jazz trio with the folkloric sound of the cimbalom; their sophisticated performance lies mainly in the very interesting musical harmonies and unusual soundscapes.
