Esmeralda as an exotic dancer, Quasimodo as her younger autistic brother, and Frollo as a priest battling demons of the past – welcome to a world where the line between good and evil blurs, where our heroes are not what they seem, and where our favourite villains get a happy ending. Let yourself be seduced by this dark tale inspired by The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Amaya Paquette is a local outcast. By day, she cares for her autistic brother, the centre of her world, and by night, she dances as Esmeralda before eager eyes to support them both. Although she longs for love, she avoids relationships, still feeling the wound inflicted by their own mother when she abandoned them. But then a new priest arrives in town, and her life is turned upside down.
Father Cade Frédéric is a devout man. Religion saved him from an unhappy childhood, so he dedicated his life to the church. Just beneath the surface, however, lurks a monster. An obsession that feeds on darkness and can only be satisfied by the damned. When he is called to a small Vermont town called Festivalé, which boasts the title of 'Little France' but is also riddled with sin, the monster within him is in seventh heaven. He has one task before him – to rid the town of evil. But as soon as he meets Amaya, he feels bewitched. He can't eat. He can't sleep. All he can think about is her. She becomes his weakness, and Cade finds himself at a crossroads – should he continue to believe what he has been told since childhood, or should he surrender to the woman in whose presence the monster within him purrs with contentment?
