Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin II (Remastered 2014) - CD

It was recorded during a hectic period when the band toured a lot on concert lines.

Led Zeppelin' s second album was recorded during their first US tour, which was reflected in its content. As the band did not have enough time to work in the studio, it mainly features reworked blues and rock songs that the band played at their concerts. The need for a fast recording was also reflected in the more straightforward sound of the new material, which sounds much harder and rawer than the songs on the debut album.

This is especially true of the songs “Whole Lotta Love“, “The Lemon Song“ or “Heartbreaker“. The only exceptions are the two acoustic tracks “Thank You“ and “Ramble On“. Although the “two“ is stylistically less diverse and more hard-rock and heavy-metal oriented than the previous LP, it is one of the most influential albums of all time, which has inspired hundreds of musical followers.
