A Threat in the Racing World
Sid Halley gets a call from his old friend, racehorse trainer Gary Bremner, asking for help finding out who has been threatening him. But Sid has marital problems of his own and brushes his old friend off. The very next morning, however, someone sets fire to Bremner's stable, killing the horses… and then Gary himself is found dead. The police believe it was suicide, but Sid isn't convinced. He starts investigating and soon discovers he's become entangled in a conspiracy that threatens the very integrity of British horse racing. Can Sid get to the bottom of what's happening before he becomes a victim himself, all while trying to save his marriage?
