Life at the intersection of risks

Contemporary sociology asks where, how and why risks arise, how they are produced or constructed by society itself, and how they are reflected in the individual's everyday life. On the one hand, there are risks such as terrorism and corruption, which are rarely faced by individuals, but which change the shape of society as a whole. On the other hand, risks are ever-present in the lives of individuals, whether as possible personal events (crime, sports accidents, health problems or personal attacks on social media) or as opportunities and challenges that some even seek out.
