Lights and Shadows of Hussitism

The book brings together 24 studies, originally published in journals and books. It focuses on the Hussite Prague, the personality of Jan Žižka and the culture and language of the Hussite era. He does not leave aside the "Hussite king" Jiří of Poděbrady and the formation of the Czech Estates state. The final section analyses the forms of the modern Hussite tradition with an emphasis on the image of Hussitism in literature and film. < br> In the second edition, the texts have been revised in line with new findings and supplemented with new basic literature.
