Lion

Athens, 5th century BC. Myths and legends give way to real men and heroes. The son of Xanthippus, Pericles, the Lion of Athens—statesman, general, and visionary—is slowly rising to lead Athens. Behind him lies the greatest city of the ancient world; before him, the relentless Persian army, ready for war on land and sea. This story, full of courage, wisdom, and the glory of war, shows Athens in the time of its greatest splendour. The time has come for another hero to make his mark on history.
