Lipo: Lyrika - CD

Reflections of contemporary R'n'B, sensitively arranged melodies, and distinctive, often surprisingly realistic poetics are mirrored on the new album by rapper Lipo. He leans more towards the musical side and emphasises the content integrity of his lyrics.

The central theme of the eleven new songs is the search for personal freedom, which is closely linked to interpersonal relationships. “Some people say that writing about love is a cliché, but I think it’s a topic that is far from exhausted and probably never will be. It affects every one of us and accompanies us in some form throughout our lives,” the rapper explains.

In his interpretation, emotional affection takes many forms: it can be caustic and rawly realistic, but also euphoric and boundless, as well as numb and driven by instincts. In his lyrics, Lipo draws from his warm relationship with poetry, but at the same time, he is not afraid to call things by their real names and get to the very core of his exploration. All of this creates his original signature style - his Lyrics.

The album was produced by the multi-talented Ondřej Turták, also known as ODD, who is well-versed in contemporary hip-hop and R'n'B and also plays several live instruments.

He invited many talented musicians as guests on the album. The hit single 'Svoboda' features the charismatic raspy voice of singer Marcell from the indie rock band No Distance Paradise. In 'Štěstí', he successfully revived his collaboration with the current Anděl award winner, Debbi, and the energy of the song 'Vidíš, co jiní nevidí' is captured by the rich voice of ODD. One of the most surprising moments is the song 'Skleněný království', where Lipo himself takes on the vocals in the chorus. The piano in the final track 'Solitér' is played by Jiří Vidasov (from Dan Bárta or Top Dream Company), and the guitar line in the fiery rap song 'Mimikry' is provided by the rising star, singer Robin Mood.
