When Laney arrives on the island with her teenage niece, to investigate everything, will find out, that her ex-husband Kit also found out about it, who joins her along with her sister Jayla, Laney' s former best friend. Then, another friend from school, Sadie, and her brother, who is a police officer, join them on a rented boat.
Tensions rise between them and secrets emerge, an unknown whisper is heard in the forest, and soon they discover a hand peeking out of the dirt. and then the body to which the hand belongs. At that moment, however, someone deprives them of their only means of transportation, leaving them trapped on the island with someone or something – who doesn' t care about them getting off the island alive.
