Therefore, it is important to go for preventive examinations to a general practitioner and follow the principles of a healthy lifestyle. It is also essential to recognize the symptoms of an acute infarction or stroke in time. People often visit a doctor only when there are irreversible changes in their heart or brain. All you have to do is recognize the symptoms, provide first aid and call an ambulance a few hours earlier.

Loono' s goal is to rid people of the fear of serious illness and to build a positive approach to their own health care. Educating the public about prevention and early detection will allow us to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease. Thanks to the contribution of CZK 200, they will train one person in the field of cardiovascular disease prevention. During the training, they will learn how to prevent and recognize a heart attack and stroke in time, where to go for preventive check-ups and how best to help a person who finds himself in this situation. And that can save his life.
Who is behind Loono?
It is a team of young doctors, medical students and future health professionals. The public has been teaching about prevention and health care for 7 years, during which time they have organized over 2,000 workshops and trained more than 100,000 people. As a result, 54 people discovered serious illnesses in time. Help them to train even more people in prevention to save more lives.

O Loono
At Loono, they show how important prevention is. Through the campaigns “I reach for them every month - #breast balls”, “You live with your heart”, “Down good” and “Good heart” educates the public in the prevention of oncological, cardiovascular diseases and care for reproductive and mental health. Guarantor of the organization
Kateřina Vacková graduated from the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. During her studies, she did an internship in Vienna, Porto, and at Harvard Medical School. After her own experience with cancer, she founded the non-profit organization Loono at the age of 22, and since then she has been helping people realize that the right time to think about their health is right now. Kateřina won the Sozial Marie Social Innovation Award and was selected by Forbes magazine as one of the personalities in the annual 30 under 30 ranking and Mladá Fronta mezi Čechy roku 2016.
