Love and goats in the countryside

Ella's life in Paris has finally settled down after a frantic first year of getting used to European culture, flitting between two potential love objects and discovering hundreds of varieties of cheese. She has been living with her partner, cheese seller Serge, for half a year and they are both having a wonderful… until the pitchfork of Ella's unexpected pregnancy lands on their well-being.

Not that they weren't both excited about it – just the opposite. Serge is even so excited that he decides to buy a house for the family and move Ella from the big city to the countryside – to the goat farm. Ella isn't too keen on the idea, but she promises to give the village a chance. After all, they certainly won't be bored there.

While Serge is busy managing the farm, Ella tries to find common ground with the villagers and comes up with a plan to turn one of the barns into a café and cheese shop. She's offered a helping hand by the charming, English-speaking foreigner Chuck, which, again, Serge isn't too happy about, and misunderstandings, that will come out of this, have the power to shake the foundations of their entire relationship…

Not only fans of romantic stories will enjoy this book, that don't take themselves too seriously, but also gourmets and lovers of cheese and animals, because the whole plot is, as in the previous episode, imbued with the flavours and aromas of French cuisine, cheese and wine, and, of course, a naughty herd of goats.
