Luck - Season 1 (3DVD) - DVD

This dramatic series takes us into the world of horse racing and betting. We meet horse owners, gamblers, jockeys and other interesting characters who revolve around the racecourse.

Chester "Ace" Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman), a tough businessman with the right instincts, has always been involved in gambling, from betting and money laundering to casino operations. He has recently been released from prison after serving a three-year sentence.
With his long-time chauffeur, Gus Demitriou (Dennis Farina), he devises a complex plan involving California's Santa Anita racetrack. They also bring Turo Escalante (John Ortiz), a successful trainer with a bad reputation, onto the team.
Meanwhile, veteran trainer Walter Smith (Nick Nolte) is nurturing a promising thoroughbred, and a down-on-their-luck group of punters are hoping for a big win.
