We Three Kings are coming to you... M+B+M. The striking intelligence-sabotage group from the Defence of the Nation organization did not write this greeting on the front door of Protectorate Prague, yet the Gestapo nicknamed it the Holy Three Kings. Czechoslovak Army Lieutenant Colonels Josef Mašín and Josef Balabán and Staff Captain Václav Morávek did not live to see the liberation, but the history of the Second Resistance honours them as models of selfless resistance in the claustrophobic hell of the occupation. From the spring of 1939 to the spring of 1942, when they carried out subversive actions, arranged the distribution of leaflets, were in contact with London and fought traitors, each relied on an independent network of contacts. It is precisely in contact with them that Vácha's reportage ballad from the darkened streets of Prague shows the character differences of the three "musketeers", who in their conspiratorial apartments decide second by second who can be trusted. And who doesn't, because he's just another creep in the grey mass of opportunistic Czechs and a mercenary Nazi, not including the devious agent A-54... interpreter: David Matásek Length of recording: 11 hours 41 minutes
