Maggie Has a Plan - DVD

Maggie Has a Plan - DVD
Maggie (Greta Gerwig) is a young, independent New Yorker who is still waiting in vain for true, lifelong love. She eventually decides to become a single mother and plans to get pregnant with the help of a former university acquaintance (Travis Fimmel). As always, this choice makes her feel like she has complete control over her life. But even this carefully planned "transaction" can't protect her from the unpredictability of fate.
Maggie unexpectedly falls in love with John (Ethan Hawke), an anthropology professor whose marriage to Georgette (Julianne Moore) is falling apart. Georgette is a highly successful and egocentric professor at the prestigious Columbia University, and also a more than slightly difficult wife. And so, Maggie launches another one of her perfect plans. This time, to free John from his marriage.
Several years later, now married to John, Maggie realises her love for him has somewhat faded. True to form, she comes up with a new plan: to reunite John with his ex-wife and return him to where she picked him up from. With a little help from her best friends, Tony (Bill Hader) and Felicia (Maya Rudolph), Maggie sets a brilliant new plan in motion, which mixes up their lives in both unexpected and hilarious ways. Maggie eventually discovers that sometimes destiny should be left to its own devices.
