Magic Box Postřižiny (Blu-ray) - digitally restored film

Blu-ray Film - Blu-ray movie Postřižiny HD [1980]. Czech film. Dolby Digital. Digitally restored film. Comedy made by Jiří Menzel based on the book of the same name by Bohumil Hrabal. This lyrical comedy, made by director Jiří Menzel in 1980 and based on the famous novel of the same name by Bohumil Hrabal, draws primarily on the writer's rich poetic imagery, which in this case springs from his memories of a peaceful life in the small town where his father was the brewery manager. A sequence of humorous episodes connected by the main protagonists - the charming Mrs. Vášáryová), her loving husband Francine (J. Schmitzer) and his brother Pepin (J. Hanzlík), is interwoven with the ongoing conflict between the striving Franklin and the board of directors, made up of the town's representatives. Francine's career is threatened primarily by the crazy stunts of the noisy Pepin, but also by the irresistible fluidity of the mistress, to whom all the gentlemen are subject.
