Malásek Jiří: Golden Collection (3x CD) - CD

The new, most comprehensive collection of recordings by pianist Jiří Malásk so far!

In the year of his late nineties, let us recall in the size of three CDs his kumšt interpretive, but also compositional. His very successful musician successor, his son Petr, compiled a selection so that we could listen to the maximum from our father' s musical legacy, and also added a personal memory to the booklet.

The albums Romantic Piano and Nostalgic Piano are firmly connected with the art of Jiří Malásk forever. A well-thought-out selection of the repertoire from the highest quality domestic pop, foreign film themes or masterpieces on the border with classical music, large orchestral arrangements and sensitively and effectively played piano solos belong to the golden fund of our popular music. These instrumentals have a lasting gift to create a pleasant, festive and relaxing atmosphere. However, this compilation deservedly introduces Jiří Malásk as the author or co-author of songs and musical accompaniment to film musicals, of which Old Men on Hops or Lady on Dormitories are among the most famous. Karel Gott, Jana Petrů, Jiřina Bohdalová, Josef Zíma and others sang Malásk' s strong melodic themes, and you will also hear Hana Hegerová in one of the early songs. As a special bonus, little-known recordings were selected, especially from the turn of the fifties and sixties, including the piano masterpieces for four hands with Jiří Bažant.

Jiří Malásek was and still is a synonym for intelligently pleasing and quality music: we are currently providing 58 pieces of evidence.
