Maria Chapdelaine

Maria Chapdelaine lives with her family on a farm in an inhospitable part of Canada. It is here that she grows up, experiences her first love, and faces the question of whether to leave her home or continue to fight against the harsh conditions.
The text is based on the original translation by Dr. Fedor Jesenský, which was digitised by the Civic Association Zabudnuté knihy (Forgotten Books).
