Marquis seeks woman

Dominic, Marquess of Merton, has come to the conclusion that he should marry. As his guardian would say, it's simply a duty. The important thing is to avoid strong passion and emotions and find the right bride. She must be noble, quiet, well-mannered, passable, must know, what's expected of an awning. And above all, he must not be prone to scandal!

Dotty Stern was invited by the Worthingtons to attend a social season with them in London. She may be only the daughter of a country baronet, but she stands out for her beauty, her sharp mind, her sharp wit and her honest character. But this makes her surroundings a bit uncomfortable. Mostly Dominica.

Because there's something about Dotty that she can't resist. And before she knows it, she's rescuing puppies, kittens, and eventually a little thief.
Dotty does not at all correspond to his idea of an ideal wife and he would certainly not have a peaceful life with her. So why does he feel like… just perfect?
